Celebrating World Breastfeeding Week 💙 August 1–7

At PSU, the Resource Center for Students with Children is here to support student parents with access to lactation spaces, Title IX protections, and campus resources.

Under Title IX, colleges are required to provide reasonable accommodations for lactating students. You don’t have to navigate feeding or pumping on campus alone—we’re here to help!

Whether you need assistance finding the nearest lactation room, communicating with instructors about pumping breaks, or learning about your Title IX rights, our team is ready to support you.

✨ PSU has 16+ lactation rooms across campus. Amenities vary by location and may include:
• Multi-user Medela breast pumps
• Refrigerators
• Comfortable seating
• And more!

🍼 Medela Pumping Kits are available for pickup at the Resource Center for Students with Children.

WELCOME TO SUMMER ☀️ This summer we will continue to provide resources and services! Our drop in center will host adjusted hours starting June 15th through mid-September and be open Monday - Friday, from 10am-3pm. Virtual support (via email and appointments) will continue through regular business hours (9am-5pm). Come visit us!! 🌈✨

Thank you all for a wonderful year! ✨ This academic year, the Resource Center for Students with Children team participated in many opportunities that helped broaden our reach across campus and highlighted the essential need for resources supporting student parents and caregivers.

We hosted several programs and events, introduced feeding bottles and infant formula into our drop-in services, and built community among you all. We are excited to use the summer term to recharge, but please know that we will remain available and ready to assist those who need us :)

Congratulations to all graduates and shoutout to those on our team who are graduating: Nina, Monique, and Daisy! Woohoo! 🎉

It’s (almost) tiiiime! ✨ We are so excited to once again host our annual Family Friendly Commencement! This special event celebrates the accomplishments of students who had triumphed in pursuing their degrees while raising children.

This is not your regular commencement! Our celebration includes less time sitting in chairs and more time on your feet dancing, checking out fun activities, bowling, and more! Children of all ages and friends and family are welcome to join! We hope to see you there 😎🎉🎓

Learn about human and social services with the Basic Needs Hub, the DREAMer Resource Center, Q***r Resource Center, Women's Resource Center, and Services for Students with Children on April 16th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

This event will be taking place in the Sky Bridge between Cramer Hall and the Smith Student Union building.
