One of Viking Pavilion’s biggest summer jobs is hosting summer orientation sessions. Orientation days are a chance to learn your way around campus, get introduced to the college system and gather some early tips on student success. There are separate days for incoming first-years and transfer students.

Coming to the POIC + RAHS commencement at Portland State University on Saturday? Here are some tips on transit and parking:

-- The Viking Pavilion at the Peter W. Stott Center is accessible by MAX train (Yellow/Orange and Green Max stop at PSU's Urban Plaza) and several bus routes.
-- The South Park Blocks are home to the Portland Farmers’ Market from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Street parking in the vicinity of the Viking Pavilion will be limited before 2, but garage space should be available.
-- You can find campus garage parking in PSU’s Parking Structure 3 just off I-405 (Exit SW 12th from I-405 or turn right onto SW 13th from OR 26) or in PS1 with entrances at SW 6th & Hall and SW Broadway & Harrison. (see the map).

Also:
— The TriMet streetcar loop crosses the campus three blocks from the Viking Pavilion.
— There is bike parking on campus.
— The SW Park Ave street loop west of SW Broadway and Jackson is drop-off only at the Viking Pavilion entrance.

Coming to tonight’s Los Ángeles Azules show at
Portland State University's Viking Pavilion at the Peter W. Stott Center? Mass transit (yellow/orange and green Max) and street parking are great options. You can check for spots in PSU's garage 3 (SW 12th from I-405 and SW 13th from OR 26) or garage 1 (SW 6th & Hall, SW Broadway & Harrison)! Plenty of bikle parking on campus! The Park Ave loop off of SW Jackson is drop-off only please.

LOS ANGELES AZULES RETURN TO VIKING PAVILION -- The Los Ángeles Azules bring their long-awaited “40 Años” Tour to Portland for one show Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021. Tickets are on sale now through https://portlandstate.universitytickets.com!

The Mejía-Avante siblings -- leaders of music’s premier cumbia ensemble -- are bringing a night of high-energy, live entertainment featuring many of their classics and plenty of fresh surprises! The show is in Spanish.

Interested in holding a conference, event, trade show, sporting event or other activity at Viking Pavilion on the Portland State University campus?

Like most facilities in Portland we are still waiting for Covid-19 guidelines to permit large group meetings. Patiently, we might add. Helping slow the spread of the coronavirus is as important to us as making sure folks have a great time at Viking Pavilion in the Peter W. Stott Center.

However, if you are making plans for an event in the not-so-near future, our staff is at work maintaining the facility and talking to planners about their scheduling hopes. So, please feel free to contact us at [email protected] and we will provide what information we can. If you like, we can put you on our contact list for Viking Pavilion updates.

In the meantime, take care. We look forward to welcoming back the campus and community to Viking Pavilion just as soon as it is safe.
