The Oregon Legislative Assembly is beginning to gear up for the 2026 session. As part of this, some legislators are looking for interns or are about to begin looking. Among those who have been advertising are the House Speaker's Office, Senator Anthony Broadman, and Representative Paul Evans. If you are interested, you might consider applying for one of those positions. Alternatively, a good way to get placed is to contact your representative or senator. Many legislators look first at their own constituents when taking on interns. The regular 2026 session is only 35 days long, so the time commitment will likely be short and intense. However, some legislators may want interns to sign on prior to the start of session.

US Rep. Janelle Bynum has also begun advertising for interns. Here is a link: https://bynum.house.gov/services/internships

The Department of Politics and Global Affairs offers upper division credit to students who work as interns. Students who are interested in learning more about interning and earning credit in these and other opportunities, please contact Professor Richard Clucas at [email protected].

Please complete and submit the form below to apply for an internship in one of our offices. Ensure that you have your cover letter and resume ready to upload at the end of this form. Submitting these documents is required.
