Yay! So excited for the online graduation ceremony tomorrow. Congratulations to all the graduates and a special shout out to all the international grads. We will miss congratulating you in person, but know that we are so proud of each and every one of you. 🎉👩‍🎓👨‍🎓🤩

The celebration of 2020 USM graduates includes remarks by Student Commencement Speaker Leyla M. Hashi ’20, President Glenn Cummings, Provost Jeannine Uzzi, and the 2020 Honorary Degree Recipients, Dr. David Howes, President and CEO of Martin’s Point Health Care, and Dr. Edison Liu, President and CEO of The Jackson Laboratory.

The National Anthem will be sung by senior Music Performance major Nicole Ponte ’20.

The online Commencement video will begin playing automatically shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday, May 9. After the celebration, USM’s online Commencement video will be archived and available for viewing, in its entirety, at both locations listed above.

Planning continues for an in-person celebration tentatively scheduled for USM’s Homecoming Weekend, Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020. See USM’s Commencement website — usm.maine.edu/commencement — for updates.
