Join Portland State University's School of Business and Women's Resource Center for their annual event: Empowering Women of Color in Business. Each year, they intentionally hold space in the community to center the experiences of women of color within the field of Business.
Gather with your POMs Linda Duran & Braden Mullan to hear from local leaders of color within the business community as they share insights to visibility in the workplace, sustaining in a predominately white field and city, as well as stories of reclaiming our time through lessons gained along the way.
On March 6th, 2020 from 12:00-2:30 pm in the Karl Miller Atrium they will be hosting a series of local speakers of color within the business sector. This year's theme is "Reclaiming Our Time," drawn from Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) who sparked social media hashtags and viral memes when she interrupted Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin's answer to her question by repeating the phrase, "Reclaiming my time."
They will be hosting four presenters to provide TEDx Talks on their experience followed by a Q&A Panel with the presenters.
Speakers Include:
