The House of Black Excellence Four exhibits. One story.

Politics of the Curl explores how Black hair has never been “just hair.” From braids and locs to afros, bantu knots, butterfly twists, and silk presses, our curls, kinks, and coils carry history, resistance, culture, and boundaries. “Don’t Touch My Hair” is more than a phrase it is a demand for respect.

Black and Beloved celebrates the resilience of Black love in all its forms. Though politicized and misrepresented, Black love continues to endure, evolve, and thrive. To love Blackness openly is an act of reclamation.

The Blueprint honors the countless trends pioneered by Black creators that have shaped global culture. From the Gold 1960s to the Silver 1980s and the Bronze 2000s, our style has always been innovation even when uncredited.

In the Spotlight: The Legacy Unfolds restores the stories of Black unsung heroes whose contributions built and transformed this nation. Their brilliance is not secondary it is foundational.

This exhibition is about remembrance, resistance, celebration, and truth. ✊🏾🖤
