Happy 2020 Everyone!!!

We are starting this new year strong with are new applications for the program, graduating seniors, tips about cool spots on campus, and conference where we have represented Portland State on!

This past weekend we attended the CIVSA Conference in Albuquerque, NM.

The conference is a place where we learn from tour guides and advisors about best practices and network with campus visits professionals from all over the country.

114 Staff members and 282 students attended from 88 different institutions. Portland State University was represented by our pro-staff: Lavina and Alicia, and our ambassadors: Cyrena and Francine.

All the sessions focus on professional development of students and advisors, where they had the opportunity to attend educational sessions, keynote speakers, and hot topics. For instance, one of the keynote speakers talked about " How to communicate with crappy people". Could that have been useful when you were an ambassador?!

Later this week we will be sharing our ambassadors experience in the conference!! STAY TUNED!!

P.S: If you have any particular questions about the conference, let us know and we will be posting on Friday our "ambassadors spotlight".
