Please join the Notre Dame Club of Portland for the upcoming free Hesburgh Lecture Series presentation this October - Health is More Than Healthcare, presented by Dr. Bernard Nahlen, the Director of the Eck Institute for Global Health at the University of Notre Dame.

When: Wednesday, October 7th, 7:00 pm
Where: University of Portland - Brian Doyle Auditorium (Dundon-Berchtold Hall)

Understanding the Social Determinants of Health:
Good health depends on more than access to doctors and hospitals. Where we live, what we eat, the air we breathe, the jobs we hold, and the opportunities we’re given all play a critical role in shaping our health outcomes. This lecture explores the social, economic, and environmental conditions – known as the social determinants of health – that drive health disparities within and between communities.
