Ashon Crawley, writer, artist, and associate professor of religious studies and African American and African studies at the University of Virginia

Note: Dr. Crawley will present remotely via Zoom, but we will gather in Council Chamber as planned in order to maintain our live interaction of seeing and hearing each other during his presentation and Q&A. Hi Ethnic Studies friends,
Are you interested in being a co-chair for the Ray Warren Symposium? Applications are now being accepted. If you are interested in being considered for one of the positions, please contact our faculty director, Kim Brodkin at [email protected].
Applications should be submitted by Friday, January 29 at 5 pm.
Students must have junior or senior standing in fall 2021 to be eligible for a co-chair position. Prior experience on the RWS planning committee is not a requirement, nor is a minor in Ethnic Studies, but preference will be given to students with relevant academic experience and/or organizational work. Co-chairs will receive 4 credits for ETHS 345 in fall 2021.

Its not too late to submit visual art for the digital exhibit for this year's Ray Warren Symposium on Race and Ethnic Studies!

Calling all artists, creators, and anyone in between. We want to encourage you to submit your visual art and share your story. This year we will have a digital exhibition so there are virtually no limits to the type of images and videos you can submit. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate and create so have fun with it. All submissions can be sent to [email protected].
