Imposter Syndrome is a topic that is not often talked about in professional or educational settings. Many students experience this feeling which makes them feel alone and can lead to them not feeling like they can make it in their field of study or can lead them to not applying to certain things because they don't feel like they are good enough. Because of this, LSAMP, Uplift: Students in STEM, IHI: Open School Chapter, and the Pre-Medicine Student Association are hosting an Imposter Syndrome event on February 23rd from 4 pm-6 pm! Link to RSVP is in our bio.
We want to open up the conversation about what Imposter Syndrome is, how it could show up, and the empowerment that comes with overcoming it. This event consists of a panel of people in different places in their career path talking about their experience with Imposter Syndrome, a section where groups on campus are going to talk about their resources for students, and networking time to talk to each other and get the chance to join these amazing groups. We will have food, beverages, and different materials with information about opportunities for students (internships, clubs, and programs to join, and contact information for them all), and will also be raffling some gift cards as well. We hope to see you all there! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions:)
