Department alum, Nyasha St. Arromand-Wells ' 16, recently graduated with her Master's in Criminal Justice from Bellevue University and delivered the student commencement address. She also is a podcaster and creates a true crime drama podcast, Island Noir: Beyond the Palm Trees, highlighting the murder of marginalized people. So glad to see her doing great and building on her SUNY potsdam foundation. Since graduation she has been a member of the U.S. Air Force and HR professional. SUNY Potsdam Students Sharing and Celebrating Diversity Through Cuisine
On Saturday, April 27th at 5pm in St. Philips Episcopal Parish Hall students and faculty will join together to enjoy and learn about traditional cultural foods. RSVP on Get Involved for a spot, and van transportation will be available! The vans depart at 4:45pm from the Union for this event.

Diversity in STEM speaker Dr. Cecilia Sanchez from the EcoHealth Alliance will present her work today at 6pm. The public talk intersection beginning at 6pm is entitled: Connections between animals, human, and environmental health: Lessons from bats and rats. A reception will follow in the Kellas gallery.

Earth Day: April 22nd, 2024
This year's theme "Planet vs Plastic" addresses environmental plastic pollution. Some ways to celebrate Earth Day are by planting a tree, utilizing reusable bags, picking up trash, making a bird feeder, and recycling. Help keep the Earth happy and healthy!
