Please, let's be good neighbors to everyone. A Facebook friend posted this:

"My kids carved pumpkins and were so proud of their work. On Friday we came home and they were gone. I know we chose to live on a street with college student housing. But they constantly litter in our yard, have smashed wood up next to our porch that we left by the road, and stole my bike that was on its side and not able to be seen without coming up onto the porch. I have dealt with it all, but when you make my kids cry - YOU UPSET MOMMA BEAR. Elm Street college students, Beware. Grrrrr."

Maybe it wasn't college students who did this. But someone thinks it was.

If your little sister or brother lost his/her very own carved pumpkin, wouldn't you be mad, too? Just think, that's all. There are people living in the homes around town and near campus. People with children and pets. People who work at the restaurants you love. People like your family and friends back home.

And, if you see something, say something. Don't let others act out. Don't be a bystander. Stand up for good - I know SUNY Potsdam peeps are great! You truly are! Don't let a couple of people make you all look bad.

Okay, sorry for being preachy. I love you guys so much!

Pretty soon New Student Orientation will begin - and we will get to welcome new students to our SUNY Potsdam family - yay!

It's been too quiet here in the Union the past few weeks. Can't wait to be all abuzz with activity again, and welcoming the Class of 2019 is a perfect way to kick off the summer.
