Clarkson University's very Dr. John Milne has been quoted by both CNN Travel and The Financial Times in response to United Airline's change to their boarding procedures. United Airlines is looking to implement a simplified version of Dr. Milnes proposal to Airline companies.

Dr. John Milne, the former Master Inventor at IBM for over 26 years and now Associate Professor in the Reh School of Business for the last 13 years, proposes the "Reverse Pyramid" boarding procedure to minimize boarding time. Reduced boarding time means planes are in the air longer and more often. Practical problems like this are at the center of Dr. Milne's research here at Clarkson University.
