Our student athletes took home five conference championships last year. That meant countless hours of dedication and hard work--in the classroom and at practice. Yes, they're a serious bunch, as you can see from their recent Media Day photoshoots.

Gloria Steinem brought her wisdom to Vassar's campus twice: In 1970, she gave the well-known Vassar Commencement address, titled "Living the Revolution." Steinem returned in 2012 with a lecture in the Chapel, marking the 40th anniversary of Ms. magazine. In remembrance of this iconic feminist, activist, journalist—and so much more—we recognize the significant impact Steinem had on generations of students over the past five decades. Seacia Pavao '94 recently found herself as an unofficial Vassar expert while working as the still photographer on this summer's hit Tony, about the life of Anthony Bourdain '77. Pavao's inside knowledge came in handy from the start: "One of the first days of filming featured what production was calling 'The Mug Club.' I quickly explained it's just 'The Mug.' Director Matt Johnson immediately changed it in the script!"
