Congratulations to the Northwest Civic Orchestra for all the wonderful music that was given to us at their Small Ensembles concert this evening! We were so happy to see so many folks join us in the Student Center to take part - a great way to kick off our concert season!

Coming up next will be the Band, Choir, and Percussion Ensemble on November 2nd at 7:00 pm in the NPA Auditorium. Hope to see you there!

Thank you so much to Kathryn Lowell who spent some time with us in Convocation yesterday afternoon! She showcased an incredible set of musical styles ranging from Waitress to The Music Man to the Great Comet of 1812 and finally Grease - each piece accompanied by a wonderful set of stories about her life in theater.

Her demonstration was followed up by some of our NWC music students Liam and Shalin who performed pieces from Jekyll and Hyde and Toy Story 2. A great after noon of music making here in Powell, WY!

When you choose to study music at Northwest College, you’re working directly with active, professional musicians who continue to perform and connect with the greater music community. Our alumni follow the same path!

In this set of pictures from , you can see Eric Hagmann (organ), Andrey Gonçalves (bass) and Zach Paris (drums) performing recently with a Jazz Ensemble in Sheridan, WY formed by Dr. Eric Richards. Playing alongside them was NWC alumni Alex Nauman (guitar).
