Thank you to everyone who attended last night!
I had the pleasure of speaking with and hugging so many people that I found myself replaying the evening in my mind this morning, trying to remember everyone who was there.

I am incredibly proud of the alumni and friends who came out to support and celebrate Prairie View A&M University, our very own PVAMU alumnus Harrison Homer-Guy, and the many talented alumni and student participants who helped make the evening so special.

The spoken word performances were absolutely on point, beautifully expressing the emotions, love, pride, and Panther spirit that each of us carries in our hearts. It was inspiring to witness the passion, creativity, and dedication on display, reminding us all of the power of our shared PVAMU legacy.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a memorable experience. The Hill was shining brightly! The ancestors are proud of our Dear Prairie View!

We have one more night to celebrate, and this one is especially for our alumni attendees. We can't wait to see you tonight!

Dear Prairie View,

Thank you for the seeds of love that led to a vision of beauty penned by Harrison Homer-Guy .

Thank you for planting those seeds in a vessel that would grow beyond its own expectations, rooted in faith, nurtured by tradition, and strengthened by purpose.

Thank you for cultivating generations of dreamers, leaders, educators, innovators, and change-makers who carry your legacy wherever they go.

Within your embrace, we discovered not only knowledge, but also community, confidence, and a deeper understanding of who we were destined to become.

The seeds planted on The Hill blossomed into lives of service, achievement, and impact. They became stories of perseverance, testimonies of excellence, and enduring reminders that greatness can emerge from humble beginnings.

Today, we stand as the harvest of your labor, grateful for every lesson taught, every opportunity given, and every dream encouraged.

Don't walk... run to the Wortham Theater.
You will laugh. You will cry. You will weep in sorrow, but also with tremendous joy. And then, you will laugh again.

Harrison has captured the very essence of Prairie View, its inner core of love, endurance, resilience, and unwavering service. He has beautifully illuminated the spirit that has sustained and inspired generations and will continue to do so for generations to come.

This is more than a performance. It is a testament. It is a love letter. It is a reminder of who we are, where we come from, and the enduring bonds that connect us.

Bravo, Harrison! Bravo!

New Board Member Spotlight: Ivy Walls 💚

We’re excited to welcome Ivy Walls to the Pearland ISD Education Foundation Board!

As a proud Pearland ISD alum, Ivy’s story has come full circle.

Why she joined:

“22 years ago, I became a PISD student, and I credit PISD with giving me a wonderful start to lifelong learning. Graduating from Glenda Dawson High School in 2012, I carried that foundation forward through my undergraduate studies and into my career in public health, agriculture, and community development. I am currently a Full Time MBA student at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business, and I look forward to bringing what I’ve learned — both in the classroom and through building my own business — back to the district that shaped me.”
