Today, we honored the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001. Faculty, staff, students and community members came together on the Pikeville Campus to remember the sacrifices of the first responders who risked their lives that day and the families who lost their loved ones.

Thank you to our faculty and staff for organizing this event and to our students and community members ( Pikeville Police Department, Pikeville Fire Department, Pike County Central High School) for helping make it possible.

The past two days of Spirit Week have been great! 💙💛 We’re excited to see so many students and employees showing their BSCTC pride and getting involved!

Today, we pause our Spirit Week celebrations to remember September 11, 2001, and honor the lives lost and the countless heroes who answered the call in the days that followed. As we approach the 25th anniversary, we invite our BSCTC family to join us in remembrance and reflection.

9/11 Remembrance Events Today:

Pikeville Campus: 9:00 a.m.
Prestonsburg Campus: 11:30 a.m.
Mayo Campus: 11:30 a.m.

Tomorrow is the time to show off your BSCTC spirit! 💙💛
On Wednesday, September 8th, wear your favorite BSCTC gear and represent your campus pride! And, because we love a little extra spirit, stop by the library on your campus wearing your BSCTC clothes and pick up your very own Pathfinder shirt.
Check out the giveaway in the Bookstore, too, and get your name entered before the deadline! Winners will be announced on Friday.

Community churches are providing free lunches for students at our Prestonsburg, Mayo, and Pikeville campuses!

📍 Prestonsburg Campus — Wednesdays
📍 Mayo Campus — Tuesdays
📍 Pikeville Campus — Select Tuesdays

Lunch is served 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at each location.

Additional dates may be added throughout the semester, so be sure to check back for updates!

Make sure to visit The Nest each week to pick up a FREE pantry bag of food and other items. Our inventory changes often, but you may find school supplies, personal hygiene items, and cleaning products. We also have gently used professional clothing. If you’re on campus and need a snack, come in and grab a quick snack or a microwave meal.

Location: Prestonsburg Campus, Pike Building, Room 217E

Hours:
Monday & Wednesday: 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Thursday: 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Pantry bags of food are also available at the Pikeville and Mayo Campuses in the library (Building A, Room 108A).
