Jill Dolan, Annan Professor of English, professor of theater, and former dean of the college, will retire from Princeton University at the end of the 2025-26 academic year, transferring to emeritus status.

“I’m so grateful for my 18 years on the Princeton faculty,” said Dolan. “I’ve worked with talented, thoughtful faculty colleagues, creative, ethical administrators, and caring, committed students, so many of whom have gone on to participate in the arts as artists or spectators. I’ll carry these foundational relationships and rich memories always in my heart.”

“What questions do I want to explore through my senior thesis?”

Tap the link in bio to discover how six seniors connected their minor in Theater & Music Theater to majors across disciplines: .Bui (), Matthew Cooperberg (, Physics), Ava Kronman (), (Practice of Art in ), Annalise Schuck (Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering), and Grace Wang (). All were inspired to bring what they learned in the theater studio back to physics and engineering labs, classrooms, and research libraries—or vice versa.

Computer Science major Mary Ma '26, who is pursuing a minor in Visual Arts, discusses her exhibition "swallow." Her work explores the boundaries of the body, the labor of touch, and marks left on or by the body. The exhibition was open to the public from May 4-8, 2026, in Hagan Gallery.

Julianna Martin '26, a Practice of Art major with Department of Art and Archaeology, Princeton University discusses her exhibition "Sites of Erosion." Through experimental analog methods including mordançage, Polaroid emulsion lifts, and large-format silver gelatin prints, Julianna explored themes of place, aging, and decay and her exhibition was on view in the Hurley Gallery from April 13-24.

Princeton professor Yiyun Li has won the 2026 Pulitzer Prize for memoir for her 2025 book, "Things in Nature Merely Grow": https://bit.ly/4tViO5p

Li is the Robert F. Goheen Professor in the Humanities and a professor of creative writing at the Lewis Center for the Arts. She was at home in Princeton when her phone started to light up with congratulatory text messages from friends and colleagues. “My editor [Mitzi Angel] called at 3:25 p.m.,” she said. “I was overwhelmed and shocked.”
