Princeton Tiger Battalion Army ROTC

This is the OFFICIAL page for Princeton University Army ROTC (Princeton Tiger Battalion).

ROTC provides you the opportunity to go to college and train to become an Army Officer at the same time, in exchange for paid tuition. Offered at more than 1,000 colleges and universities, you can get the college experience along with a guaranteed career after graduation as a highly respected second lieutenant in the Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard.

The Tiger Battalion is located at Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. The Battalion is affiliated with Rowan University, and The College of New Jersey. Full-time students can cross enroll and participate in the leadership experience.

From August 18th–21st, Alpha Company held MS1 Orientation, welcoming incoming cadets to the Tiger Battalion. Training events included a historical campus tour PT, a visit to the Lawrenceville Armory with njnationalguard, and their first Army Fitness Test (AFT). Cadets also received an introduction to MREs and participated in other training designed to prepare them for their transition into both college life and the U.S. Army.

Throughout all nine regiments this summer, Tiger Battalion MS4s have excelled and demonstrated their preparation to lead their fellow cadets from the front. We are proud of their accomplishments and look forward to seeing them continue to lead and succeed!

Congratulations to CDTs Rhoads, Spilker, Long, and Espinoza for graduating Advanced Camp, 7th regiment. Additionally, CDT Rhoads and CDT Long earned the RECONDO badge for elite individual performance across physical fitness, land navigation, marksmanship, and critical soldiering skills.

Congratulations to Tiger Battalion graduate, 2LT Erik Roll on graduating U.S. Army Flight School, Class 26-020!

Following graduation at the U.S. Army Aviation Museum, 2LT Roll will continue his service as a Black Hawk pilot with the Colorado National Guard.

Tiger Battalion would like to congratulate 2LT Connor Neill on his (62 and through) graduation from U.S. Army Ranger School, class 08-26! This achievement marks a significant milestone, as he becomes the third Princeton Army ROTC Class of 2025 graduate to successfully earn the Ranger Tab.

Princeton Army ROTC honors the commissioning of Princeton ROTC (Army, Air Force, Space Force) graduates as officers in the United States Armed Forces and celebrates their commitment to a lifetime of service and leadership.

The Joint Commissioning Ceremony was held Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 in the Faculty Room in Nassau Hall at Princeton University. Brig. Gen. Grant S. Fawcett, a Class of 1996 alumnus who was commissioned through Princeton’s ROTC program, served as the keynote speaker. Surrounded by friends, family, fellow cadets, mentors and Cadre, they took their oath of office and were pinned as Second Lieutenants.
