tl;dr Applications are EXTENDED for you to join the LDI Student Team! Apply at tinyurl.com/ApplyLDI20 by September 3rd at 11:59PM EDT.
Our Student Team is expanding from its original size to consist of the Events & Programming Group, Outreach & Communications Group, and Curriculum Development Group. In these groups, you will:
• Develop and facilitate leadership skill-building programs
• Design and execute the yearly LDI conference
• Centralize educational resources for student leadership development
• Build inclusive community for students and student leaders
• Create long-term academic leadership development programming
• Contribute to the overall vision and direction of LDI
Personal growth as a leader is deeply integral to the student team. As a team member, you’ll have the opportunity to:
• Receive in-depth leadership, curriculum, and program development training
• Develop soft skills and gain valuable experience in project planning, outreach and communications, pedagogical methods, and more
• Work closely with various esteemed professors and staff members on the LDI Lead Team and across the University
• Learn and grow with a cohort of driven and insightful students, and challenge yourself individually at your own pace
The Leadership Development Initiative (LDI) is a student-driven initiative, supported by Campus Life, that seeks to empower and equip any student to lead in their communities at Brown and beyond. Our mission is to create a collaborative community of aspiring leaders that provides a hub for inclusive learning opportunities to foster empathetic, equitable, effective, and sustainable leadership.
