πŸ‡¦πŸ‡·πŸ“šπŸ§³ This summer, three Friars took their learning beyond campus and into classrooms across Argentina.

Through the Father Philip A. Smith Fellowships, Maeve Kelly ’28 spent six weeks in Rosario, while Grace Batsie ’28 and Bianca Rego ’28 spent six weeks in Buenos Aires. Working alongside the Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, the students primarily taught English to local students in their schools.

The fully funded Smith Fellowships give rising Providence College juniors and seniors the opportunity to spend 4–6 weeks immersed in Catholic and Dominican communities around the world.

🌎 Could your next summer take you somewhere new? Learn more about the Smith Fellowships and how to apply in the comments.

πŸ–€ One class. One PC. 1,308 new Friars.

During Orientation, the Class of 2030 came together on Hendricken Field for one of Providence College’s signature traditions: the class photo.

But getting 1,308 students into a perfect β€œPC30” formation takes a little coordination. Watch the full recap to see how it all came together β€” from groups filing onto the track to the final drone shot.

Move-In Day is officially in the books! πŸ–€

We loved welcoming the Class of 2030 and transfer students to Friartown and beginning this next chapter together. Families filled campus with excitement as new Friars settled into their new homes, connected with their community, and gathered for the Welcome Mass and reception.

πŸŒŽπŸ‡²πŸ‡½ : Friars take their learning around the world!

In the spring, Providence College Department of Social Work major Sergio Espinoza ’27 studied in Cuernavaca, Mexico, where he explored social work in a Latin American context and was placed with the Human Rights Commission in the State of Morelos (ComisiΓ³n de Derechos Humanos del Estado de MΓ©xico).

Providence College students have opportunities to learn beyond campus and experience new communities and cultures, including Mexico and other destinations around the globe.

And the Friar flag comes along for the journey. πŸ–€βœˆοΈ
