Providence College School of Business

Providence College School of Business Welcome to the Official page of the Providence College School of Business. More Than Business, It's Where Business Meets Purpose.

At the Providence College School of Business, we’re shaping a different kind of business education. As the only U.S. college founded and administered by Dominican Friars, we’re attuned to the need for meaning, connection, and purpose in both business and life. With a dynamic group of energized faculty, a rigorous curriculum, and a new new facility, the Arthur and Patricia Ryan Center for Business

Studies, we’re building the business school of the future with that in mind. Students don’t just learn the foundations of business — they learn a versatile, collaborative, problem-solving approach that makes them indispensable to employers and personally fulfilled. We’re teaching the power of “we” rather than “me.”

Accreditation
AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, affirmed the PCSB’s rising level of distinction and quality when it awarded accreditation in 2012. Only 30 percent of U.S. business schools, and 5 percent worldwide, achieve this prestigious designation. It places the PC undergraduate and graduate programs among the best, and helps position students and graduates for even greater success in the future. New Building
A$5 million gift from prominent alumnus Arthur F. Ryan and his wife, Patricia, has supported a state-of-the-art home for the PCSB. With their gift, Dore Hall, a former residence hall, has been renovated as the center of a new structure named " The Arthur F. and Patricia Ryan Center for Business Studies." The facility opened in January 2017 and is serving as opportunity to learn and grow, where every square foot is designed intentionally to foster engaged, values-based learning that will lead students to a lifetime of success in business and in life. Bloomberg Businessweek Rankings
PCSB shot up 34 spots to No. 75 on Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2014 list of the top undergraduate business programs. PCSB had the sharpest rise of any school on the ranking this year, thanks to an improved employer survey score, according to the magazine. A Strategic Priority
Much of PCSB’s success can be attributed to the College’s 2011 Strategic Plan, which positions the School to be a national and international model for practice-based curriculum that builds on the College’s expertise in the liberal arts and virtue ethics. We love spotlighting what our students are building — and Finn Keating's story is one you don't want to miss. 🏀

Finn is a rising senior at the Providence College School of Business, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Finance. On the side, he taught himself to code, built a college basketball dynasty game called Hardwood Empire from scratch, and launched it to #1 on the App Store — racking up over 40,000 downloads in just two weeks without spending a single dollar on promotion.

From running two LLCs to growing an online community of thousands, Finn embodies everything we strive to cultivate at the Providence College School of Business: creativity, grit, and the confidence to turn an idea into something real.
