JWU Equine & Animal Science and JWU College of Health & Wellness students recently worked with trained hippotherapy clinicians for a firsthand look at this unique type of therapy, which uses a horse's movements to treat patients with physical, occupational and speech challenges. “There are so many different styles of riding horses, gear and horse anatomy that can be used to target specific goals for clients that I have never even considered before,” says Sofia Mangino ’26, a Health Science student bound for the Occupational Therapy Doctorate program.
