For more than a decade, Senator Elaine Morgan has been one of the most recognizable and principled voices in the Rhode Island Senate.
Representing District 34 (Exeter, Richmond, Hopkinton, Charlestown, West Greenwich) since 2015, Senator Morgan has built a reputation for independence, persistence, and a willingness to advocate for her constituents. In a legislature where Republicans are outnumbered, that consistency has made her one of Rhode Island's most influential Republican leaders.

One of her recent legislative successes was Senate Bill 3261, which created a $5,000 property tax exemption in the Town of Exeter for veterans who are totally disabled as a result of service-connected disabilities. The legislation provides meaningful tax relief to disabled veterans and serves as a reminder that public policy can make a tangible difference in people's lives.
