What does it take to build a legacy of diplomacy?

This year, BYU's Model Arab League team earned top honors at regional and national competitions while developing skills in research, negotiation, teamwork, and cross-cultural understanding.

Students from a variety of majors represented Egypt, debated real-world issues, and built connections that will benefit them long after graduation.

✨🌍 The Dignity of God's Children 🌍✨

The International Society Conference, held earlier this month, brought together powerful conversations on the challenges that youth face today and discussed the hope that grows through service, advocacy, and faith around the world.

Conference speakers included Sister Susan H. Porter, Primary General President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kevin Hyland, Order of the British Empire and Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner, Sarah Bouchie, CEO of Helen Keller International, and more. Their messages reminded us that impact is possible when we choose to treat others with dignity and act with purpose.

We were especially honored to recognize Lola Ogunbote as the 2026 Distinguished Service Award recipient, celebrating her work with Goals for Girls, a US-based non-profit that uses football to build confidence and empower girls in their communities. 💙

We extend a huge thank you to all who planned and participated in this year's conference that inspired reflection, action, and a deeper commitment to global good.

This is the one of the most sacred weeks in history.🌿

During Holy Week, we remember the final days of Jesus Christ’s life—His love, His sacrifice, and His victory over death. As the week comes to a close, may we take time to reflect, realign, and draw nearer to Him.

How have you felt His love this week?

Good food for a good cause. 🙌

Earlier this week, we held a fundraising event where students donated to the Global Opportunity Scholarship and received delicious baked goods from Tous les Jours! We had a great turnout and are still fundraising through the end of next week. 100% of donations go toward Kennedy Center student scholarships, so help us keep it 100 for the next week!

Last week, at the Asian Studies Experiential Learning Forum, students learned about funding opportunities, international program options, and ways to get more involved in global experiences. It was an afternoon full of insights, networking, and inspiration for what’s possible beyond the classroom!

As we celebrate Lunar New Year this month, we also celebrate new beginnings and the possibilities ahead. We celebrate the cultures, traditions, and stories that make our Asian community shine. Wishing you prosperity and joy in the year ahead! 🌙✨

🧧 Happy Lunar New Year!

The Student Association for Latin American Studies (SALAS) hosted a ribbon braiding booth where students can donate to meaningful latino organizations for care week.

Through events like this, SALAS continues to promote opportunities for students interested in Latin America, academically, professionally, and culturally.

We’re grateful for student organizations that turn small actions into meaningful impact! 💐

We warmly welcome Elder Clark G. Gilbert in his new apostolic calling!

In his August 2025 address titled “Being Deliberate in the Second Half of the Second Century of Brigham Young University,” Elder Gilbert reminded us that “Being a light to others requires that we simultaneously pursue excellence even as we maintain our spiritual integrity.”

As we strive to fulfill BYU's prophetic mission, we are grateful for leaders who call us to be deliberate, faithful, and courageous in standing for truth with love.

🌍📖 Global Religious Experience Seminar: Student Voices Elevated 📖🌍

What happens when students take time to reflect on faith, identity, and meaning after returning from their international study programs? Powerful stories emerge.

The Global Religious Experience Seminar was created to give students a space to write, discuss, and share how their international experiences shaped their understanding of religion and spirituality. Through weekly conversations with scholars and faculty mentorship, students transformed lived experiences into thoughtful essays now available to the public.

This seminar didn’t just create writing, it created community, reflection, and lasting impact.
