Meet the 2014-15 Purchase Writers Center Fellows:
JESSICA LASER
Jessica Laser's poems can be found in Boston Review, The Iowa Review, Lana Turner, Petri Press, and elsewhere. She is the author of a chapbook, Assumed Knowledge and the Knowledge Assumed from Experience, forthcoming from The Catenary Press. ERIC LINSKER
Eric Linsker's first book of poems, La Far (University of Iowa, 2014), won the Iowa Poetry Poetry Prize "with a craft that is original and unnerving" (Publishers Weekly). He lives in Brooklyn and is co-founder and co-editor of the Claudius App.
RACHEL MCCAIN
Rachel McCain received her MFA in creative nonfiction writing from Sarah Lawrence College in May 2014. She has previously worked as a newspaper editor and a magazine writer. Currently, she is the editor-in-chief of the Blue Door Quarterly Journal, a new literary and art publication created by Blue Door Art Gallery in Yonkers, with the help of ArtsWestchester. She is also the art director of a summer camp.
DANIEL POPPICK
Daniel Poppick is a poet. His areas of interest include the lyric, small press publishing, and contemporary poetry in performance. His poems appear in BOMB, The Volta, jubilat, The Iowa Review, Colorado Review,The Claudius App, and elsewhere. He co-publishes The Catenary Press with Rob Schlegel and is the author of a chapbook, Vox Squad (Petri Press). His first book, The Police (Omnidawn) will be published in 2017. He lives in Brooklyn.
ADITI SRIRAM
Aditi Sriram's writing has appeared in American and Indian magazines. She loves fiction writing the most, but also writes creative non-fiction. Aditi has summited Mount Kilimanjaro, hitchhiked along the Red Sea in Egypt, trekked into hidden stepwells in New Delhi, and befriended 70-year old strangers, all for the sake of a story. She is working on a novel inspired by all of these things.
