Pack the Patrol Car — Power a Student’s Future St. John’s Public Safety and The School of Education are teaming up to make a real impact for local students. From now through September 15, help us fill the patrol car with essential school supplies that will support Holy Family Catholic Academy scholars as they kick off a new year of learning.

Every notebook, marker, backpack, and wipe donated brings a child one step closer to success. Let’s show our community what St. John’s pride looks like — drop off your supplies at Public Safety or Sullivan Hall and help us overflow the car with generosity.

Together, we can fuel brighter futures. 📚🚓✨

A Powerful Start to a Promising Journey - It was an energizing and high spirited virtual New Student Meet & Greet, where more than 30 incoming Johnnies showed up with enthusiasm, curiosity, and the honest mix of excitement and nerves that comes with beginning a new chapter. Their passion lit up the screen, reminding us why this work matters and how bright the future truly is.

We are thrilled to welcome each of them into their new family—one that will challenge them, support them, and celebrate every milestone along the way. Thanks to Dr. Heather Robertson and Dr. Eric Akuoko for joining us. Go Johnnies!

Teaching isn’t just a career — it’s a calling. It’s the belief that every learner deserves the chance to grow, thrive, and be seen. Few people embody that mission more powerfully than Mike Williams ’05ED, educator, innovator, and proud St. John’s alumnus.

As an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Mike brings passion, purpose, and real world insight to the next generation of educators. But his impact doesn’t stop there. He is also the visionary behind CollabED, a rapidly growing online platform built to uplift teachers at every stage of their professional journey. From mentorship and community to practical tools and shared expertise, CollabED is redefining what support for educators can look like.

This is what leadership in education looks like — building community, sparking innovation, and empowering others to rise.
