“I got the same great education a lot of my friends did, but I was able to save money at SUNY Adirondack.”
— Renee St. Jacques, Class of 2008, director of Public Policy for New York Farm Bureau

For Renee St. Jacques, her advocacy work — volunteering with Glens Falls Medical Mission in Guatemala, helping farmers in Cameroon and fighting on behalf of New York farmers — all started at SUNY Adirondack.

“Student Senate was the first time I was able to have an opportunity to learn how to be a leader and get into politics,” said Renee, who as director of Public Policy for New York Farm Bureau works on behalf of farmers in New York state and across the country. “I didn’t know politics was going to be what I would do, but looking back at those experiences, I kept moving in that direction.”

We're not really the jealous type, but watching all our peers welcoming students back to campus the past few weeks has admittedly been tough. But — FINALLY!! — move-in day is this weekend and classes start Wednesday! We're so excited! To celebrate the end of our long wait, we're sharing photos from every year of move-in since our beautiful Residence Hall opened in 2015.
