The information space has evolved and grown in recent years, providing a richer set of resources, but also making it difficult to navigate and compare the available options. Join UC ANR Fire Network Director, Lenya Quinn-Davidson, for a conversation with some of the best minds in this space: Kevin Fetterman (Watch Duty), Zeke Lunder (The Lookout), and Daniel Swain (UC ANR). You will hear about the resources they each provide, how they find and curate their information, and how fire information plays out at different scales, from the individual fire incident to the larger landscape and climate.🔥

Last night we had a great turnout for the Small Farms Seminar in Quincy on 🐔 chicken health, 🐻 predator prevention, 🥚 egg sales certification requirements, and 🍪 🍞 🧁 cottage foods licensing for selling baked goods.

Thanks to partners who helped make the event possible - Dawn Institue, Lost Sierra Food Project, Plumas Sierra Ag Department, USDA Wildlife Services and Western Risk Extension.

Small Farms Seminar Set for April 28 in Quincy
This session is for backyard producers and small-scale farmers

The free event begins with dinner at 5 p.m., followed by presentations at 5:30 p.m.

Pre-registration is required for dinner and participation in a door prize raffle.

The seminar will feature practical information on raising and marketing farm products. Topics include chicken health, egg sales certification requirements, and cottage foods licensing for baked goods.
