As part of their journey, QU OTD students leverage the Visualize Whole Self Model of instructional design to enhance assessment skills in OTD 715 by ‘proving some’. Thus fostering a deeper understanding of assessment of occupational performance across the lifespan. Several competency checks were completed over various assessments throughout the lifespan.

Drs. St. Clair and Haas, together with QU OTD students Hedy, Jake, and Cawhan, invested their afternoon in serving the community through the Quincy Salvation Army Family Store, gathering and organizing donations from QU dorms to benefit those in need.

When we think of Occupational Therapy, we often think of physical spaces—ramps, grip adaptors, or home modifications. But what about the digital spaces where we spend so much of our lives? 🖥️📱

Tomorrow, May 21st, is Global Accessibility Awareness Day, but the work starts today. As OTPs, our goal is always meaningful participation in daily life. In 2026, "daily life" means sending an email, attending a virtual meeting, paying bills online, or connecting with family via video chat.

Digital accessibility isn't just a technical feature; it’s an essential component of independence and occupational justice. From setting up switch-access switches and eye-gaze systems to configuring screen readers or cognitive simplifying extensions, OTPs help bridge the gap between human capability and digital design.

Let's design a world—both physical and digital—where everyone can participate fully.
