Spotlighting our Highlander Research Blitz Competition Winner: Rachel Rogers
“Hi, I'm Rachel L. Rogers, MS, and I'm a dual degree Master to Doctor of Health Sciences student with concentrations in Clinical Research and Community and Public Health. I transferred into the program in the summer of 2023 and will graduate with my MSHS in December 2024 and DHSc in December 2025. As a first-gen student, I earned my BA in Spanish from the University of Georgia in 2005 and my MS in Psychology, Program Evaluation, and Research from Walden University in 2013. Boasting a 3.94 GPA, I am a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Radford University chapter. I currently work as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Leadership and as a Clinical Research Assistant at Carilion Clinic. After graduation, I hope to continue growing in clinical research.

Building my network and participating in research opportunities has improved my skillset and confidence in working in community and public health.”
