Our 2026–2027 CHBS Student Ambassadors are ready to make an impact! On Thursday, August 27, this incredible group came together for training, teamwork and getting ready for an exciting year ahead. ❤️💙

These students are more than representatives—they’re CHBS advocates, program champions and Highlander leaders. They’ll welcome future students and families, represent CHBS at Highlander Days and open houses, assist with special events and guest speakers, connect with alumni and dignitaries, and share what makes their academic programs—and the CHBS experience—so special!

🎉 This year, we’re especially excited to welcome 14 newly elected ambassadors to the team!

We can’t wait to see them in action, sharing their Highlander experiences and showing future students why CHBS is a place where you can find your path, discover your passion and belong.

On August 26, 2026 at the Honors Convocation, senior Communication major Charlie Schoenig was honored as the 2026 recipient of the Outstanding Honors Contract for her work last spring in Dtr. French's COMS 440 Nonverbal Communication class. Her project explored her two majors - communication and communication sciences and disorders to better understand what kind of training therapists receive regarding nonverbal communication. She gave an awesome acceptance speech. Let’s celebrate her!!
