Hey everyone!
For those of you who I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet, I'm Carly Mannon, the new President of the MBASA. I am writing this post to ask current MBA students to join in helping us rebuild the MBASA.
For those of you who are on the fence about joining, I wanted to highlight the benefits of this organization:
NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES! - Not only will you have more personal interactions with your fellow students, but there will be opportunities to connect with the faculty outside of the class room and hopefully other local business professionals as well.
Flexibility - Many of our students have full time careers and reside out of town. Therefore, we are only requiring our members to attend one meeting a month. Attendance can be in person or through Zoom, and we will schedule our meetings at times that work well for the majority of our students.
Our current ideas for our two monthly meetings include:
Study halls: Students can share areas of struggle in their current classes and have the group collaborate on a better understanding of the materials.
Guest speakers: Established business professionals talk about topics related to our classes or business in general.
Social events: Members go on outings within the community, potentially with MBA faculty.
If you are interested, here is a link to fill out the Google survey to join the MBASA:
This is a chance to tell me if you are interested in being a part of the MBA Student Association, your availability, what kinds of events you would like to have, and any other thoughts and suggestions you may have.
