We are a Co-Ed organization that is bonded by three ideals of scholarship, leadership, and fellowship. At Radford University, our brotherhood was established on March 3rd, 1991 to create the Alpha Xi Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi. Since our founding, ΑΞ has had an outstanding presence in the RU community. We hold philanthropy service events, fundraising, recruitment events, social events, and coordinate

with other organizations on campus and in the community to reach common goals. Upon graduation, the life of an Alpha Xi brother lives on. We have an active group of alumni who are involved in events that bring them back to the campus, allow them to give back to the chapter, and who use their professional careers to assist current brothers. Alpha Xi, like Phi Sigma Pi as a whole, is a unique blend of young men and women who are bonded by similar ideals and motivated to instill these ideals in those around them. To become a brother of this Fraternity visit one of our information sessions:

Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity is an organization for anyone. It is of the utmost importance within this organization that we strive towards a better understanding of diversity and inclusion, as well as continuous learning and growth for ourselves and others. Living by our three ideals: Scholarship, Leadership and Fellowship, we work to celebrate and encourage the diverse individuals that make up the organization's members. We encourage not only diversity of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and religion; but diversity of thought, backgrounds, politics and ideas. However, our organization will not tolerate negative behaviors and/or actions that cause any individual harm or discomfort, to members within our organization and that oppose our values of Scholarship, Leadership, and Fellowship. With much change confronting us in the world today, it is important that we as individuals work towards understanding what is happening in our world, our country, and our communities and to be brave enough to stand up and say it’s time to grow, learn and change. This organization will always be a group that strives towards equality, justice, understanding, tolerance, and compassion. We plan to implement changes to our bylaws and operating policies by creating a new hate speech bylaw and thoroughly editing and revising our current bylaws to combat negative behavior. We also plan to educate and introduce to our members these topics of today by implementing Leadership In Action (LIA) Modules into our chapter’s operations that focus on ethics, diversity, inclusion, and many more important topics. We plan to work closely with Radford University’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion and will continue to educate ourselves, others and promote growth and learning to all. “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we have been waiting for. We are the change that we seek”. -Barack Obama
