Our very own Emergency Management Specialist, Taylor Childrey, has been up to something incredible and last week it all paid off! 🎓

Please join us in congratulating Taylor on earning her Master's in Emergency & Disaster Management from Georgetown University! 👏🎉

Taylor has been quietly grinding, balancing her full-time role serving our campus community while pursuing her graduate degree. That kind of dedication, discipline, and drive is something worth celebrating loudly.

Today marks Spring 2026 Commencement 🎓

We are immensely proud of all of our graduates and everything you’ve accomplished to get to this moment!

While you may not always see us, our team in the Emergency Operations Center, made up of university departments, state police, and security partners, is working behind the scenes to help ensure today runs safely and smoothly. It truly takes a full community to make a day like this possible and keep everyone on campus .

To our graduates, we’re sad to see you go, but you will always be a part of the Radford University family. We cannot wait to see the incredible things you accomplish next. Your hard work has paid off, now it’s time to celebrate it.

🎓 Commencement Weekend Public Safety Reminder 🎓

As we get ready to celebrate our graduates, the safety of all attendees remains our top priority. All graduates, guests, staff, faculty, and event personnel will be required to go through security screenings upon entry at both ceremonies.

🚨 CLEAR BAG POLICY IN EFFECT 🚨
Please plan ahead, only approved bags will be allowed inside.

This policy applies to BOTH events:

Graduate Hooding & Commencement Ceremony
🗓Friday, May 1st
⏰5:00 PM
📍Dedmon Center

Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony
🗓 Saturday, May 2nd
⏰10:00 AM
📍Moffett Lawn

🚫 Prohibited items include weapons, alcohol, noise makers, drones, and more.
