Mwende's thesis examined the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and associated economic and social justice issues on the career plans of college students. Mwende was also recognized today for her outstanding performance in her economics courses by receiving the School of Business Excellence in Economics award!

Congratulations to Sara Chung who presented her honors thesis for her economics major at the Meredith College CSA Day today! Sara surveyed Meredith College students who were multilingual and asked about their career plans to determine if and how they plan to use their multilingual skills on their jobs. Sara had an interest in this topic because she plans to be an ESL teacher.

Public records obtained by WRAL News indicate that work to prepare the site, approximately 281 acres located adjacent Louis Stephens Drive and Little Drive in Wake County, is occurring.

How should we fight inflation? Dr. York says we need to increase the supply of labor.

This upward revision to the 3rd quarter GDP announced Thursday shows that our economy is not slowing down in the way the Federal Reserve wants it to in order to slow down inflation. More people in the workforce would help, says Dr. Anne York of Meredith College.
