The WAAAUB North Carolina Chapter is excited to bring the community together for a Fall picnic. During the picnic, we will have a walk to support the AUB4Beirut campaign. Due to the ongoing crisis in Lebanon and the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, the WAAAUB North Carolina Chapter will not be holding an in-person event for the annual AUB4Beirut Run this year. Instead, you can join the WAAAUB North Carolina Chapter's virtual AUB4Beirut Run which will be supporting the AUB Neighborhood Initiative and the AUBMC Emergency Response Relief Fund. We understand that there are a lot of needs and many channels to donate. If you're in a position to help, please consider making a contribution... Great celebration today at the school of education at UNC Chapel Hill for Dean Fouad Abdel Khalek who is transitioning to his new role as provost and senior vice chancellor for academic affairs at UMass Amherst. We are very proud of Fouad and all his amazing achievements during his tenure at UNC. Fouad and Lama and family will always be part of our WAAAUB North Carolina Chapter and our North Carolina community. Best of luck to Fouad and the Abdel Khalek family!!
