U of R celebrated GeoWeek with an exploration of the importance of place.

The makerspace is participating in GeoWeek. Letting people experience VR and then talking about how 3D printing can be used in conjunction with mapping and data.

Today from 3 pm to 4 pm the Makerspace will participate in GeoWeek. We will have 4 VR headsets set up for poeple to explore the world.

GeoWeek continues today with some great events on campus!
3-4: Check out the amazing things to see and do in the Makerspace (Armacost 138)
5:30-7:30: Learn how the KFC corporation uses location analytics in decision making (Casa Loma)

Today faculty showcased their projects from the Faculty Tech Grant. Faculty projects showcased this year included: virtual field trips, exploring the accessibility of the campus using 360 cameras, and 360 imaging abroad. The 2019-2020 tech grant submissions are due this Monday.
