Train with purpose. Retain the knowledge. Be ready when it counts.

At Redmond Fire & Rescue, training is more than checking a box. It’s about building skills and confidence when lives are on the line.

Retention comes through repetition, hands-on practice, reviewing key concepts, and learning from one another. Every opportunity to train helps turn knowledge into action under pressure.

Train hard. Keep learning. Never stop improving.

One of the most rewarding parts of being firefighter paramedics is getting the opportunity to show kids what we do and why we do it.

Teaching the next generation about fire safety, EMS, and what it means to serve our community can make a lasting impact. We love seeing their curiosity, answering their questions, and reminding them that the people behind the uniform are here to help.

Today’s curious kid could be tomorrow’s firefighter, paramedic, or community leader. We’re proud to be part of that journey.

Training is where the work begins.

At Redmond Fire & Rescue, the fire doesn’t care how long you’ve been on the job. The call doesn’t care if you’re a recruit or a career firefighter. When the tones drop, our community expects us to be ready.

That readiness is built through training.

Our recent academy has been an opportunity for new firefighters to develop the fundamentals, build confidence, and learn how to operate as part of a crew. But training doesn’t stop when the academy ends. Career firefighters continue to train alongside them, sharpening skills, sharing experience, and challenging one another to become better firefighters.

From hose lines and forcible entry to search, ventilation, ladders, EMS, and crew coordination, every repetition matters. The goal isn’t simply to check a box—it’s to build muscle memory and the confidence to perform when the environment is anything but controlled.

Train hard. Train together. Build the skills before you need them.

Redmond Fire & Rescue and IAFF Local 3650 are committed to developing firefighters who are prepared to serve our community when it matters most.

Public safety isn’t just about responding when the call comes in—it’s about knowing our community before the emergency happens.

Today’s tour of this new aquatic facility gave our crew the opportunity to understand the layout, identify potential hazards, and develop a plan before we’re faced with an emergency.

Every building, business, and community has unique challenges. By taking the time to learn those challenges ahead of time, we can make better decisions when seconds matter.

Knowing our district helps us respond faster, safer, and more effectively—and ultimately helps us provide the best service possible to the people we serve Redmond Firefighters Local 3650 Redmond Fire and Rescue
