The week before commencement, STAR student Andria Takesy led a campus-wide mwarmwar workshop in collaboration with the Cultural Center and the Womxn of Color Collaborative. 🌺 Andria shared her love of making lei po’o and how the practice keeps her culture alive — all while teaching attendees about the Federated States of Micronesia. Students, faculty, and staff gathered to weave, enjoy food from Shiok Singapore Kitchen, and talk story together as the semester came to a close. 🤍

Yesterday, we made history together. With our largest commencement crowd yet, we celebrated 700 graduates who showed up, persevered, and made it happen.

This class is one for the books. From a 16-year-old to a 71-year-old crossing the stage, the Class of 2026 is a reminder that Cañada College is truly a place for everyone.
