Another future physician in our Pack, and we are thrilled about Andrew Delloro’s acceptance with the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine - Georgia campus who will be starting his program next week.

Passionate about serving the underserved communities, Andrew focused his activities going abroad to volunteer. Compassion and a commitment to growth and learning, Andrew hopes to continue his work to improve health equity concerns.
His most valuable experiences include:

* Working as Lead Medical Scribe for Sweetwater Pain and Spine for 9 years
* Working as a Pharmacy Technician in Walgreens for 2 years
* Volunteering. Did 2 years in Renown Regional Medical Center and did a 2-week medical mission trip in Guatemala.
Congratulations, Andrew! And good luck in your adventures ahead.

We are so proud of Owen Hallett for his acceptance into Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine in Utah! A former student leader who was instrumental in the groundbreaking movements that lead towards the establishment of the Pre-Health Advisory Council, Owen was a great mentor and collaborator who espoused the values of teamwork, dedication and persistence.

Here in his own words are his personal words of encouragement:

Hi Everyone,
I am originally from Henderson, Nevada, and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. In the years following graduation, I focused on strengthening both my clinical experience and my commitment to pursuing a career in medicine. During this time, I had the opportunity to shadow physicians, work as a medical assistant, and contribute to multiple research projects. I also got married, and through these personal and professional experiences, I further solidified my passion and purpose for becoming a physician.

I now live in Salt Lake City, Utah, and I am excited to begin my medical education at Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine in Provo, Utah this July!

Congratulations, Owen! We are

Congratulations to Micah Lilo, future MD!

We are so proud of your accomplishments as a former athlete, student leader of the UNR Hawaii Club serving as its Vice President while holding an exceptional grade point average earning you cm laude honors when you graduated as a Public Health major in spring 2024.

You excluded outstanding competencies in teamwork, problem solving and respect for others such as your volunteering work with the Student Outreach Center and the Down syndrome network for Northern Nevada while helping elementary age kids to grow their love for reading and literature.

We applaud your persistence and dedication to work ethic. Congratulations, Micah!

The Office bids good luck and well wishes to our peer advisor, Jeferson Cordova Solares, for his two years of service as a member of UNR’s Dream Team. As always, academics comes first and with the daunting task of securing a valuable seat in med school, we understand what those priorities are. Jeferson has been a strong leader within our team and we want to express our gratitude to him for all of his hardworking, support and commitment to student success, particularly in his leadership as Director for the Pre-Health Advisory Council. Wishing Jeferson all the best ahead!!
