The Savitt Medical Library is the academic medical library for the University of Nevada, Reno School

Due to safety concerns and security measures, we have decided to close the Savitt Medical Library and work remotely from Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

On June 8, 2023, Governor Lombardo signed A.B. 140 into law. This legislation included Juneteenth in the list of legal holidays in Nevada. Effective immediately, Juneteenth will be observed on June 19 of each year as a legal state holiday for all State of Nevada employees.

In observance of the Juneteenth Holiday, the Library will be closed on Monday, June 19th!

The University is proud to join other State of Nevada agencies in observing this significant date.
