ECBC Library is Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of UWEC-Barron County!
September is all about the 60's!
Stop in and take a Space Selfie! Interact with our 60's themed displays:
What would you bring back from the 60's? The fashion? The cars?
The "groovy slang?" Tell us in the comments and we'll add it to our display! Or stop in and let us know in person using the tie dyed sticky notes!
Coming soon: 60's inspired MakerSpace activites including a Paper Dress challenge. (can you make a life size dress using newspaper, packing paper and/or book pages? "

The Brooklyn Public Library created the "250 for 250" list of the most influential American books. For the BPL's special project, notable Americans were asked to select an impactful book to champion. Ethan Hawke chose The Outsiders, calling it a "kind of literary miracle" that acted as a "gateway drug to the high and wisdom that literature has to offer."
