How do we speak the language of business and make ethical AI the most profitable option?

In a recent webinar hosted by the American Psychological Association (APA), our faculty member Larry W. Norton, PhD, shared this perspective while serving as a panelist in a discussion on ethical AI in Organizational Psychology.

In this short clip, Dr. Norton makes the case that for organizations to actively choose ethical AI, it must align with business incentives, not just values. It’s a thought-provoking idea and one that feels especially relevant as AI adoption continues to accelerate across industries.

This clip is just a small moment from a rich conversation hosted by APA. You can watch the full webinar here: https://www.apa.org/education-career/training/ethical-implications-ai-consulting-psychologists

This clip is just the beginning of the conversation, and we would love to hear your thoughts. Do you agree that ethical AI has to be the profitable choice? How are organizations balancing ethics and competitive advantage in practice?

Graduation Spotlight | Jennifer Covarrubias

One short week until graduation! Thank you, Jennifer, for reflecting and sharing your transformational experience in the UT Dallas Executive MBA with an Emphasis on Healthcare Organization Leadership,

“As I prepare to graduate from the Executive MBA program, I find myself reflecting on just how transformative this experience has been for me; both as a healthcare professional and as a leader. Coming into the program, I hoped to strengthen my leadership skills and gain tools I could apply immediately in my organization. What I didn’t expect was how deeply this program would reshape the way I think, lead, and show up for my teams.
The faculty brought such a practical, real-world approach that made even the most complex concepts feel accessible and directly relevant. I never felt like I was simply completing assignments; I felt like I was learning from leaders who genuinely cared about our growth.
Working alongside peers from different industries broadened my perspective and helped me become a more thoughtful and well-rounded leader. This program didn’t just enhance my skills; it enhanced my confidence. I leave feeling more prepared, more grounded, and more inspired than when I started.”

Congratulations, Jennifer! Wishing you all the best in what’s ahead.

🎓 Celebrating Success: Cynthia Carter, Master of Science in Leadership & Organizational Development, Executive and Professional Coaching.

As Cynthia prepares to graduate on December 17, 3 weeks from today, we are excited to share her transformative journey through our Master of Science in Leadership & Organizational Development program.

“What drew me to the MS LOD program was the focus on developing leaders who inspire change through authenticity and purpose. As someone balancing a demanding career with a major airline company and a growing real estate business, I wanted a program that would help me align my leadership with my values. The program exceeded my expectations by integrating theory with real-world practice, offering mentorship from dedicated professors, and creating a space where vulnerability and growth were encouraged. It didn’t just teach leadership—it reshaped how I show up as a leader in every area of my life.”

Congratulations, Cynthia! Thank you for letting OBCC and be a part of your journey.
