UW-Platteville and the UW-Platteville Richland campus communities are deeply saddened by the news last night of the sudden passing of a community cast member during a rehearsal for the Richland Center community/campus production of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." Out of respect for the cast member's family, more detailed information will be shared as it becomes fully available.

The performances scheduled for Friday and Saturday are postponed.

This sad circumstance touches everyone involved in the production, and the university offers its deepest sympathy to all of those affected.

For students, Counseling Services is available at 608.342.1865, and 24/7 support is available at the UW System Mantra. For faculty and staff, the Employee Assistance Program is available as well.

Community mental health resources are also available through Richland County Health & Human Services - 608-647-8821.

There's Community Art all month long in the Wallace Student Center. The Wisconsin Regional Arts Program (WRAP) sponsored by the Richland Area Arts Council has works displayed for the public all throughout April. And more pieces, from Richland area High School students, will be added later this month.
