Academic Support Programs at IU East This page belongs to the Office of Academic Support Programs. Our office manages all of the SI Sessions on campus, as well as each semester's Exam Jam.

Academic Support Programs offers free assistance to IU East students who wish to improve their academic performance

. Programs available to students include Extreme Summer JUMPSTART, Supplemental Instruction, and Exam Jam. Our Office is located in Springwood Hall, RW 202. Supplemental Instruction (SI)

What is Supplemental Instruction? SI is an internationally recognized program of students helping students. The program focuses on certain courses that cover a large range of material in a short period of time. Study sessions are held at regular times every week. SI leaders direct group discussions aimed at helping you enhance your understanding of the course material. Studies have shown that students who attend SI sessions average one full letter grade above those who do not.
