Dr. Bruce MacLaren Chautauqua Lecture Series

General Announcement

The Dr. Bruce MacLaren Chautauqua Lecture Series is moving into a new phase as it enters its 24th year. Dr. Erik Liddell, who expresses deep thanks to the campus and community for their past and continuing support of the series, is stepping away from Chautauqua after 8.5 years of leadership as CLS Coordinator, and operation of the series is being transferred from the Honors Program to the EKU Libraries under the direction of Dean Julie George.

The upcoming series is still in the planning phase, but we anticipate welcoming, as always, a range of scholars, writers and public figures from across the academic and cultural spectrum. Plus, we will be reviving the tradition of hosting an annual National Juried Art Exhibition in conjunction with the newly renovated Fred Parker Giles Gallery and its curator, Melissa Vandenberg.

We hope you will continue to join us for stimulating and eye-opening lectures, presentations and performances!
