In reflecting back on the busy legislative session that ended last week, I want to extend my sincere thanks to the members of the Kentucky General Assembly for their work during the session and for their continued support of Eastern Kentucky University.

Thanks to the General Assembly’s investment, is advancing initiatives directly aligned with Kentucky’s most pressing workforce priorities. EKU’s proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine will help address the physician shortage, especially in rural communities, while our Aviation program prepares students for high-demand fields critical to the Commonwealth’s economy and national infrastructure. And thanks to the legislature’s support, EKU will launch the region’s first Enhanced Air Traffic Control training program.

At a time when Kentucky higher education priorities can take many forms, EKU is laser focused on delivering strong returns for the Commonwealth: measurable outcomes, workforce readiness and meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

We are grateful for the partnership with the General Assembly as we move Kentucky forward together!
