Emergency Management Job:

The Maryland-National Capital Region Emergency Response System (MDERS) is seeking a highly-qualified Training and Exercise Specialist to coordinate the development and implementation of a training and exercise program for MDERS stakeholders that focuses on developing response capabilities to critical incidents. Under the direction of the Training and Exercise Program Manager, the incumbent will serve as the conduit between leadership, stakeholders, MDERS staff, and vendors to create an effective training plan for stakeholders and ensure the delivery of the highest quality training. The Training and Exercise Specialist will plan, coordinate, and implement innovative training initiatives for stakeholders that include, but are not limited to, traditional in-class instruction, online training, and simulations. The employee will also take a direct role in providing training to stakeholders, especially in the areas of public access bleeding control and the incident command system (ICS), as well as other priorities as identified by the MDERS Steering Committee. The incumbent will also design and execute various discussion and operations based exercise initiatives.
