The Visual Art Dept. is thrilled to host an zoom artist talk by metal and performance artist . Based in Washington, D.C. Mercedes incorporates opera, dancers, and music within metal smithing installations. Mercedes melts weapons to create instruments and sculptures, often excavating missing violent histories.

I am pleased to have 5 of my photos included in the Advanced Division of this year's Richmond Columbian Properties juried photography exhibition, including “Harmony 2,” which received a “Top 5” award. If you are in the area, the show is free and open from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday & Sunday, April 20 & 21; Saturday & Sunday, April 27 & 28, and Saturday, May 4. It is housed in "First Bank Gallery Hall" in the annex to the historic William G. Scott House, 204 North 10th Street in Richmond, Indiana. [The Scott House is immediately south of Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home, with parking between the two buildings -- enter the Scott House from the side door on the north side of the building.] Most of the 60+ photographs are for sale.

Photo 2 & Photo 3 are back with the first photo show in CVPA.
Exhibition title The Studium of Punctum takes its name from Roland Barthes’ book Camera Lucida. A text which proposes two types of relationships with photography. Students used Holga cameras and film/digital photography.
